In 1975 I was transferred to San Francisco by my company and moved to Sonoma County in 1991. Our home was located directly across from PS 176 and my neighbors included, the Dawsons, the Whites, the Persons, Russells and the Filippis(on 238th Street behind us.)We had the best childhood ever and growing up in Cambria Heights/Laurelton was terrific and safe. Ronnie and I were bathroom monitors, and someone stole our pocketbooks with our collection of bus passes. The boy-next-door was Neal Dreznin, and I sat on the bar of his bike and we rode all over town. Schneider, the 3rd grade teacher, lived on our block.

Through this site, I hope to connect and share stories and memories of a different time in all of our lives and sense of community. Gosh I know I'm going to leave someone out but I haven't talked or seen Pam Morris, Joan Prussan, Gail Friedman etc (since a reunion mega years ago)and I miss you! Marty Rosenthal, Alan Nodelman (I did have dinner with you not too long ago,it was great but we lost touch again), Billy and Barry Rost. Some of the friends I remember were Stuart Fishman, Edith Edelstein, Anita Bernheimer, Elayne Gross, Susan Dankner, Donald French, Trudi Sturm (who I just reconnected with and who is refreshing my memory about lots of fun times)and lots of kids from Springfield Gardens, Rosedale and Cambria Heights as well. Those of you who remember me and would like to touch base please do. I was just searching for a name, and stumbled on this site. Everyone thought they were cool at that stage of their lives. I seem to remember it all as Nirvana........could that possibly be true? We are fortunate to live near our two grandsons and get to spend a lot of time with them. I remember all the teachers being mentioned by others (Herb Magidson, director of The Man Who Came to Dinner, which I stage managed really inspired me to do the theater thing as I'm currently a local stage director and actor and have worked on almost 100 shows in the last 20 years).
