World series of Dating was a BBC3 comedy that turns dating into a American style TV sports show featuring slo-mo action replays, overblown graphics, music and scripted comedy analysis from US dating champ, Doyle Mac Manus (Rob Riggle) and James Chetwyn-Talbot (Tom Price) with the series culminating in finding the UK's Greatest Dater. This was a scripted comedy reality show as three men are given the chance to chat up three ladies in a speed-dating format with the ladies having the option to buzz and eject a date should they prove to be dull, stupid, misogynistic or over enthusiastic.
At the end of each episode, the daters will each pick the one person they connected with the best to be their keeper and stay on the island.
As sexy new daters arrive every week, vying for those coveted "keeper" spots, connections will be tested and relationships will develop.
The end credits music has been replaced with the generic theme.
Perry Como is still alive ("Fame", "Celebration Time", "I Will Survive", "What Did I Love For", "I Love the Nightlife").
However, in the end, only one can win each of their hearts.
Syndication Note: Perry Como was edited in syndication; some of the CCP1 wraparound material was also edited. DVD Note: Perry Como is the edited syndicated version.
The Cruisin' Gourmet music has been replaced; in doing so, a cue was missed (after "The bird is dead") and the laugh track has been replaced with a different (and much worse) one.
