The Superintendent, Tom Torlakson says any schools that had been built before 2010 will be required to test for lead since the governor signed a bill saying it had to be done by July 1, 2019.It comes after the lead contamination in the drinking water in Flint, Mich.This report from comments made in November by one of the new board members, then again after the board chair read a newspaper editorial out loud at one of their meetings in January.
